Textured animals with Foundation

The Foundation students love nothing more then going on a treasure hunt. We went on a treasure hunt for a very special treasure which was finding textures. They collected texture rubbings from inside and outside the classroom and then turned them into the animals. This was a great way to students to think about the language of texture.

Complimentary colour flowers with Foundation

Foundations students learnt about complimentary colours and how to use them together to make effective combinations. They created a flower garden demonstrating their knowledge.

Starry Night with Foundation

There is not many activities I do twice but this one I love and I do it every year. During Term Four every year I study Masterpieces Foundation (Prep) style. We have started with Vincent Van Gogh's Starry Night. They get better every year.

Amazing Technicolour Art Element Jackets with Foundation

The Foundation students had a ball making these jackets in Term Three. It took them the whole term and they never go sick of it. On completion they even got to do a fashion parade at assembly!

Making these jackets they learnt about warm and cold colours, line, texture, and shape. They also learnt about Primary and Secondary colours. They used cutting, drawing and painting skills and learnt loads!

It was great fun.

More photos to come!
